\item"1." To make known the recent progress in asymptotic representation
theory and related asymptotic combinatorics and its applications
    to mathematical and statistical physics.
\item"2." To make appropriate courses on these topics for graduate students
and mathematicians who have no knowledge on the problems.
\item"3." To organize simultaneous seminars and the conference on the topic.
\item"4." To publish the proceedings of the Summer School.
\item"5." To intensify contacts between specialists and first of all between
young mathematicians from Russia and from the West.
\endroster

\medskip
Tentative Courses (2-3-4 lectures):
\roster

matrices.
\item"" P.~Deift. Asymptotics of spectra and integrable systems.
\item"" M.~Kontsevich. Quantum fields theory and combinatorics.
\item "" G.~Olshanski -- A.~Okounkov -- A.~Borodin. Asymptotics of
measures on Young diagrams and determinant processes.

Tentative conference-seminars:

\noindent
Ph.~Biane, M.~Bozejko, K.~Johansson, R.~Kenyon,
A.~Lascoux,
J.~McKay,
S.~Okada,
L.~Pastur,
N.~Reshetikhin,
R.~Speicher,
A.~Vershik,

We suppose to accept graduate students, young mathematicians who are
intersted in this area and perhaps have nnot special knowledge of the
topics. We believe that professors will attract attention of their
students to this summer school. Soon we will send the posters to many of
universities.

Besides the courses of lectures we are planning to organize a short
conference on the topics during the second week. If you want to give a talk,
please, send us a title and abstract.

\medskip
Support: we are looking for grants from some funds. All suggestions
are important. We believe that we will have support from Russian
and foreign funds.

If you need a russian viza, we will provide you with an
official invitation needed for visa formalities.
Accomodation will be arranged at the hotel "Dvorets Molodezhi"
("LDM-hotel") at a walking distance from the Euler Institute.
The prices approximately are:

\$24 \qquad a single room

\$11-13,5 \qquad a bed in a two-bed room

\$10 \qquad a bed in a three-bed room

(the current prices for CIS-participants are considerably lower;
you can find more detailed information on our web-page).

If you have some special accomodation requests (say, you prefer
a downtown hotel, or you come with accompanying
persons, etc.), you are invited to contact the
Euler Institute program coordinator
Mrs. Elena Novikova (novikova\@pdmi.ras.ru)

Unfortunately we can't give serious financial support,
and hope that local organization will find possibility for this.
