SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear colleague,

the second international conference "Small Deviation Probabilities and Related Topics" will be held at the Euler International Mathematical Institute (St.Petersburg, Russia, Pesochnaya nab., 10) on September 12-19, 2005. REGISTRATION and DEADLINE

If you intend to participate, we ask you to fill in the registration form at

as soon as possible.

This form will give us all necessary information for the arrangement of your visit.

Please fill in ALL items, especially the PASSPORT DATA. This is important for visa.

THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS MAY, 15.

VISA and INVITATIONS

Non-Russian participants need a RUSSIAN VISA. The Institute will provide you with an invitation from Russian state officials that is necessary for this aim. If you come with an accompanying person, she (he) will also need a visa, hence an invitation. This is why you have to fill in the registration form for every accompanying person.

Upon your demand, EIMI can also provide you with an invitation to the conference with more scientific details. This invitation does not suffice in visa issues but might be helpful for your home institution or granting agency.

When ready, the invitations will be sent to participants by fax and, if necessary, by mail.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation will be arranged at the hotels located not far from the Euler Institute. From this area, the Hermitage and Nevsky prospekt can be reached in half an hour.

If you have some special requests (say, you prefer a downtown hotel, you come with an accompanying person etc), please indicate it in REGISTRATION FORM. Most of hotel prices for foreign participants are in the range $50-$80 per night. Please let us know (in the registration form) what price you can afford.

TRAVEL

Please, inform us about your arrival time as soon as it is available. We strongly recommend to arrive not later than Sunday, September,11 as the opening of the conference is scheduled to the morning of Monday, September,12.

Local traveling information will be given in the final announcement.

REGISTRATION FEE

A conference fee of 150 euros will be levied from the participants. It is assumed that the fee for Russian participants will be covered from Russian Foundation for Basic Research grant. A limited number of German participants could be apparently supported from a DFG grant.

Accompanying persons' conference fee is 60 euros.

Registration fee should cover invitation price, the airport transfers, coffee-breaks, excursion, welcome party, etc.

The fee is to be payed by cash upon arrival.
