On some pro-p groups arising from infinite Lie theory

Abstract
In this talk we will discuss some local subgroups of topological Kac-Moody groups, their generation and presentations, and some consequences of those results. This talk is based on joint works with B. Remy (Paris) and A. Lubotzky (Jerusalem).
