I was very lucky to visit EIMI twice: first time in May of 2000 when the International Conference dedicated to 150th birthday of Sofia Kovalevskaya was hold and the second in June of 2000 when I participated in IMACS Conference on Applications of Computer Algebra. I would like to mentione the exelent organization, kind atmosphere in EIMI and good care of the administration of EIMI. All of these pleasant aspects provide the fruitful work of the conferences, workshops in EIMI. The union of the activities of the EIMI and the St.Petersburg Branch of the Steklov Mathematical Institute helps to establish professional contacts between the leading scientists of the former Soviert Union and their foreign colleagues in addition. St.Petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the World. So, in my opinion, the visits of the EIMI (as short-term so long-term) are very desirable for everyone.
