CLASSIFICATION OF ALL CONNECTED DUBGROUP SCHEMES OF A REDUCTIVE GROUP CONTAINING A SPLIT MAXIMAL TORUS

ABSTRACT:
The main result of the paper is a classification
of all connected subgroup schemes of a reductive group that contain
a split maximal torus, over an arbitrary field. The classification is expressed
in terms of functions on the root system.
