"The purpose of this article is to give a geometric
explanation of the surprising equality between,
on one hand, the number of configurations of
(complex) lemniscate generic polynomials, and,
on the other hand, the number of configurations
of real monic Morse polynomials with the maximal
number of (real) critical points."
