Moscow--Petersburg seminar on low-dimensional mathematics (Extraordinary summer session) SPb, PDMI, 23.08.2002, 16:00--17:00, room 311 J.-P. Brasselet Toric varieties and singularities Toric varieties are specially interesting objects in mathematics, due to their relation to combinatorial geometry and algebraic topology (and geometry). In this talk we will see examples of such relation concerning an interpretation of the Poincare morphism and Chern classes for singular toric varieties.
