Dear colleagues,

The forthcoming 2006 annual meeting of NORFA network is planned on 17-19 June, with the arrival day 16 June and departure day 20 June. The conference site is The Euler Institute of Academy of Sciences of Russian Federation. It is located in the green zone of St. Petersburg, but not far from the city center.

The scope of the meeting includes atoms and molecules in strong laser field, in the traps, artificial atoms, control of atoms and molecules by external fields with perspective of application to quantum computing. Contributions on other issues of fundamental atomic and molecular physics are welcome.

Please register on the conference site providing a title and few phrases of abstract to facilitate composition of the programme. In order to develop an early draft programme we ask you to register and provide information on your contribution before 1 April, although later changes would be possible.

To enter Russian Federation you will need a valid visa. In principle you could apply for tourist visa but in this case probably you will be urged to buy a tour. Therefore we strongly recommend you to apply for business visa with our support. You can find details of visa application on our website. The application procedure requires certain time. Therefore we ask you to provide your personal information not later than 26 March. Otherwise we will not be able to guarantee your visa issued on time.

We hope to be able to help with extenstion of stay in St. Petersburg for willing participants. The notification on the registraion stage is required.
