Galois theory, homological algebra and beyond

2020

Euler International Mathematical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia

Due to the Covid–19 pandemic, the conference is rescheduled to Autumn 2020. New dates will be announced later.

The International Conference "Galois theory, homological algebra and beyond" will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the Euler International Mathematical Institute from May 18 to May 20, 2020. The conference is dedicated to 80th anniversary of professor Boris Lurje and to 80th anniversary of professor Anatoly Yakovlev.

We are going to focus on topics in Algebra which are the main fields of for B.Lurje and A.Yakovlev in their mathematical life: Galois theory, homological algebra and related subjects, e.g. some classification problems over non algebraically closed field. Talks concerning applications of Galois Theory to arithmetics, category theory and representation theory are supposed.
