Function theory and dynamics of point processes

1-3 June 2017

Euler International Mathematical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia

Point processes arising as scaling limits in random matrix theory exhibit surprising dynamical properties at the interface of order and chaos: for example, while the classical sine-process enjoys the Kolmogorov property, it also satisfies the ``rigidity'' theorem of Ghosh and Peres. The conference would explore exciting recent developments in the understanding of dynamical properties of point processes.

The participation of the young mathematicians (graduate students and post-docs) is planned; a poster session would be organized to allow them to present their work."
