How to get to the conference

1. The airport Pulkovo (LED) is located 23 kilometers away from the venue of the conference.
Buses no. 39, 39A and shuttle minibus (marginally more expensive than local buses) number K39 run to Moskovskaya Metro Station. Further travellers can get to the centre of St Petersburg (see PDMI area map, with closest metro stations).

2. The nearest foreign airport is Helsinki Vantaa airport (HEL), which is on the distance of about 350km from St Petersburg.

The comfortable high-speed train "Allegro" from the center of Helsinki to St Petersburg makes a stop at Tikkurila station, which is only a very short ride away from the airport. The train from Helsinki Lentoasema (Helsinki airport) to Tikkurila station operates at approximately 10 minute intervals during rush hours. https://www.vr.fi/cs/vr/en/tikkurila_en, the journey takes 8 minutes. The way by "Allegro" train from the Tikkurila station to Pietari_Finljandski (St Petersburg, Finljandski railway station) takes 3h 14m. The "Allegro" train operates 4 times a day.
The distance from the Finljandski railway station to the venue of IMSE2022 is 3.6 km.

The border formalities (passport control and custom) between Finland and Russia are conveniently taken care of onboard the moving train after its departure from Helsinki or St. Petersburg.
