I. REGISTRATION If you intend to participate, we ask you to fill in the registration form as soon as possible: http://www.pdmi.ras.ru/EIMI/2007/AMCM/app.html

THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS MAY 15

If you need a visa, we ask you to make it as soon as you can, so that you could get an official invitation for visa approach at the proper time.

Registration fee: 200 Euro.
For Russian participants who work inside Russia the fee could be covered by the grant of the Russian Basic Research Foundation.

We expect to meet participants at the Pulkovo airport and the railway stations.

II. VISA Non-Russian participants need a RUSSIAN VISA.
You can obtain a tourist visa in almost any tourist agency in your country. However if you would like to have your visa invitation processed by the Euler Institute (a document to be presented at a Russian Consulate), please read the instructions below.

There are two kinds of visas you may wish to apply for. A tourist visa invitation is quicker to make. However, we heard that some travel grants do not reimburse for tourist visas. In this case you will definitely need a business visa. The Euler Institute will provide you with an invitation which will be authorized by a governmental department and will imply obtaining a visa nearly automatically. However, the procedure of the invitation issue could takes more than a month.

The registration form will give us all necessary information for the arrangement of your visit. Please fill in ALL items, especially the PASSPORT DATA, if you do need a Russian visa.

If you come with an accompanying person and she/he also need a visa (is not a Russian citizen), we ask you to fill in the registration form for every accompanying person.

If, besides the invitation described above, you need also one for the administration of your institution, please, contact the Euler Institute Programme Coordinator Mrs. Elena Novikova. Such an invitation may be sent in few days.

When ready, the invitations will be sent to participants by fax and, if necessary, by mail.

Now, please,
Fill in the registration form at if you have not done it.
Fill in the Visa Form.
Upon receiving your registration and visa form as well as the registration forms and visa forms of your accompanying persons the Euler Institute applies to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for your Invitation to visit Russia.
A month later (in case of a business visa) or a week later (in case of a tourist visa) an invitation is issued.
We send you the invitation by fax (however we know that several Russian Consulates accept only the original paper versions of the invitation. In this case we post it to you).
You go to the Russian Consulate which you mentioned in your visa form and apply for a Russian visa.
You pay 15 Euro for visa invitation per accompany person on your arrival.

III. ACCOMMODATION Accommodation will be arranged at nearby hotels (we shall do our best to arrange it at reasonably low price). The Euler Mathematical Institute is located near the river Malaya Nevka in a nice historical part of St. Petersburg. June--July is a peak time of tourist season. To arrange your accommodation as good as possible we will book the hotel rooms beforehand. If you have some special requests (say, you prefer a downtown hotel, you come with an accompanying person, etc), please indicate it in the registration form. Most of the hotel prices for foreign participants are in the range 70-120 EURO per night. Please let us know (in the registration form) what price you can afford. A cheap accommodation in a student hostel may also be possible.

IV. ABSTRACTS AND TALKS The program will include several plenary talks (60 min), the regular talks (40-50 min) and poster session.
If you intend to give a talk, please send an abstract (TeX/LaTeX and pdf/ps at most 3 pages) to amcm@imi.ras.ru. The Booklet of abstracts will be available at the Conference.
Deadline for abstract submission is May 15.

V. The conference will be held at the Euler Institute (St. Petersburg, Pesochnaya nab., 10). The place is near the river Malaya Nevka. Transport information will be given in the Final Announcement. We expect to meet the participants at the Pulkovo airport and the railway stations. Please, inform Mrs. Novikova about the mean of transportation and your arrival time as soon as this is available.

We hope to see you in St.Petersburg this summer!

With best regards,
Konstantin Kholshevnikov,
Nikolay Vassiliev
